Your teacher

I have 15 years of experience working with children aged from 3 to 16 years. For two of these years I worked with young children who had speech and language difficulties. I have a qualification in Play Therapy and a certificate in person-centred counselling. I also have the Advanced TEFL certificate. My teaching practice is a combination of bookwork, audio-visual aids, games and situation based learning. English courses will be individually tailored to age, aptitude and ability.

Your hosts

Antonia & Andrew
My name is Antonia, I have been helping students to improve their English for over five years and I am an experienced teacher. I absolutely love my job and meeting and helping people develop their skills and confidence. I utilise my own experience of having lived and studied abroad and learning a foreign language to help my students. I aim to put students at ease and all my lessons have a mix of speaking, listening, writing and reading and always fun.

I also believe in creativity and doing things in order to learn – so afternoon activities and sightseeing and meeting people are a must. I am consultative in approach and aim to build a good understanding with my students, so that they feel relaxed and then able to progress quickly and effectively. I have a European business degree and French diplome and CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Diploma. In my first career, I worked in Marketing and then in project management and I managed teams so have management experience. We are a very busy, modern, fun and sociable family that do things together and love music, cinema and playing computer games. I personally love nature and outdoor pursuits and lead several nature groups and organise community events, which I involve all my students with. We love socialising with family and friends and invite our students to come and join us in our activities and to meet up with extended family and friends. Andrew is a Data and Analytics Architect for the UK’s largest online fashion company based in Camden, London. He loves IT, music, cinema and films and gaming.
